Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Breton Woman On The Beach by Virginie Demont-Breton was sold in the Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900 auction at Sothebys in Paris in June 2020. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 8,750.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Virginie Demont-Breton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Femme De Pêcheur Venant De Baigner Ses Enfants in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 543,000.00 (€ 477,194.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Breton Woman On The Beach von Virginie Demont-Breton wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 8.750,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Virginie Demont-Breton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French Femme De Pêcheur Venant De Baigner Ses Enfants im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 543.000,00 (€ 477.194,83).
