The work Pescatorello by Vincenzo Gemito was sold in the 19th and 20th century Paintings and Sculptures auction at Il Ponte in June 2021. The auction ended at the price of EUR 1,200.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vincenzo Gemito achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait en buste du chanteur lyrique Jean-Baptiste Faure in March this year with an auction result of EUR 41,984.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Pescatorello von Vincenzo Gemito wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion 19th and 20th century Paintings and Sculptures bei Il Ponte versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.200,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vincenzo Gemito erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait en buste du chanteur lyrique Jean-Baptiste Faure im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 41.984,00.
