This artwork by Vilmos Huszár achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2019. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work African Mask sold for GBP 50,000.00 (€ 58,326.74) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vilmos Huszár - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition abstraite, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 237,500.00 (€ 199,613.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Vilmos Huszár erzielte im Februar 2019 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit African Mask für GBP 50.000,00 (€ 58.326,74) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Vilmos Huszár mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composition abstraite beobachtet, die im November 2017 für USD 237.500,00 (€ 199.613,38) versteigert wurde.
