Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Winter Studio by Viktor Popkov was sold in the Russian Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in November 2014. The price achieved of GBP 48,750.00 (€ 61,292.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Viktor Popkov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Family In July, 1969 in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 842,500.00 (€ 646,287.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Winter Studio von Viktor Popkov wurde im November 2014 in der Auktion Russian Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 48.750,00 (€ 61.292,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Viktor Popkov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Family In July, 1969 im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 842.500,00 (€ 646.287,20).
