Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work Study For A Family In July by Viktor Popkov. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,952.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Viktor Popkov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Family In July, 1969 in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 842,500.00 (€ 646,287.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study For A Family In July von Viktor Popkov zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.952,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Viktor Popkov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Family In July, 1969 im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 842.500,00 (€ 646.287,20).
