Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Club Sputnik by Viktor Popkov was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2018. It changed hands for a price of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,344.83) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Viktor Popkov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Family In July, 1969 in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 842,500.00 (€ 646,287.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Club Sputnik von Viktor Popkov kam im November 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.344,83) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Viktor Popkov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Family In July, 1969 im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 842.500,00 (€ 646.287,20).
