Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Young Dreams by Viktor Vasnetsov was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in June 2021. The price achieved of GBP 438,500.00 (€ 510,966.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 350,000.00 – 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Viktor Vasnetsov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Bogatyr, which sold at auction in November 2011 for GBP 1,105,250.00 (€ 1,290,266.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Young Dreams von Viktor Vasnetsov wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 438.500,00 (€ 510.966,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 350.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Viktor Vasnetsov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Bogatyr beobachtet, die im November 2011 für GBP 1.105.250,00 (€ 1.290.266,20) versteigert wurde.
