Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study For Off To Work by Viktor Popkov was sold in the Russian Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in November 2013. The price achieved of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 37,605.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Viktor Popkov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Family In July, 1969 in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 842,500.00 (€ 646,287.20).

Die Arbeit Study For Off To Work von Viktor Popkov wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion Russian Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 37.605,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Viktor Popkov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Family In July, 1969 im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 842.500,00 (€ 646.287,20).
