Etching and aquatint in colours, 1980, on Magnani wove paper, signed with the initials, dated and numbered 14/90 in pencil (there were also 15 artist's proofs in Roman numerals), printed by Vigna Antoniniana Stamperia d'Arte, Rome, co-published by Marlborough Fine Art Ltd., London and 2RC Edizioni d'Arte, Rome, with the 2RC blindstamp, with full margins, framed

This artwork by Victor Pasmore achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in September this year. In the Prints and Multiples auction, the work Stromboli sold for GBP 5,888.00 (€ 5,888.00) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Pasmore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstract in Indian Red, Crimson, Blue, Yellow, Green, Pink and Orange in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 200,000.00 (€ 231,985.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Victor Pasmore erzielte im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints and Multiples wurde die Arbeit Stromboli für GBP 5.888,00 (€ 5.888,00) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Pasmore erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abstract in Indian Red, Crimson, Blue, Yellow, Green, Pink and Orange im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 200.000,00 (€ 231.985,66).
