In September this year Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Magic Eye 5, from Magic Eye by Victor Pasmore. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,216.00 (€ 1,216.00), 74% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Pasmore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstract in Indian Red, Crimson, Blue, Yellow, Green, Pink and Orange in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 200,000.00 (€ 231,985.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 74 % übertroffen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Magic Eye 5, from Magic Eye von Victor Pasmore zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.216,00 (€ 1.216,00) und damit 74% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Pasmore erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abstract in Indian Red, Crimson, Blue, Yellow, Green, Pink and Orange im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 200.000,00 (€ 231.985,66).
