Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2010 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations, which included the work Checkmate by Victor Marais-Milton. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 3,250.00. Admittedly, works by Victor Marais-Milton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Musical Cardinals in November 2015 with an auction result of EUR 20,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2010 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations durch, in der auch die Arbeit Checkmate von Victor Marais-Milton zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 3.250,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Victor Marais-Milton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Musical Cardinals im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 20.000,00.
