In July 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Art, which included the work The connoisseurs by Victor Marais-Milton. The result of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,721.47) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Marais-Milton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Musical Cardinals in November 2015 with an auction result of EUR 20,000.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The connoisseurs von Victor Marais-Milton zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.721,47) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Marais-Milton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Musical Cardinals im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 20.000,00.
