Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Victor Huguet could be acquired at Sothebys in London in June 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Works from the Najd Collection, Part II auction, the work The Falconers changed hands for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,273.22) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Victor Huguet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Halte De Bicharis Dans Le Desert De Lybie in December 2008 with an auction result of EUR 159,156.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Victor Huguet konnte im Juni 2020 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important Works from the Najd Collection, Part II wechselte die Arbeit The Falconers für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 19.273,22) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Victor Huguet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Halte De Bicharis Dans Le Desert De Lybie im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 159.156,00.
