Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work At The Wadi by Victor Huguet was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 75,000.00 (€ 86,994.62). Other works by Victor Huguet have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in December 2008 by the work Halte De Bicharis Dans Le Desert De Lybie at EUR 159,156.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit At The Wadi von Victor Huguet im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 75.000,00 (€ 86.994,62) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Victor Huguet wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Dezember 2008 die Arbeit Halte De Bicharis Dans Le Desert De Lybie mit EUR 159.156,00.
