A top price for Victor Huguet - as previously expected
In December 2008 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Orientalist Paintings, which included the work Halte De Bicharis Dans Le Desert De Lybie by Victor Huguet. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 150,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 159,156.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Halte De Bicharis Dans Le Desert De Lybie is the most expensive artwork by Victor Huguet that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Dezember 2008 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Orientalist Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Halte De Bicharis Dans Le Desert De Lybie von Victor Huguet zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 159.156,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Halte De Bicharis Dans Le Desert De Lybie das teuerste Kunstwerk von Victor Huguet, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
