Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Barrels of Money by Victor Dubreuil for USD 83,650.00 (€ 79,780.64). This price was achieved in the auction Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Victor Dubreuil have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2016 by the work Barrels Of Money at USD 93,750.00 (€ 84,193.98).
