Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Victor Dubreuil could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master and 19th Century European Art auction, the work 100 Franc Note changed hands for USD 4,688.00 (€ 3,158.82) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Dubreuil achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Barrels Of Money in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 93,750.00 (€ 84,193.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Victor Dubreuil konnte im Januar 2008 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century European Art wechselte die Arbeit 100 Franc Note für USD 4.688,00 (€ 3.158,82) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Dubreuil erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Barrels Of Money im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 84.193,98).
