Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Arbres En Fleur Dans La Prairie by Victor Charreton was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,753.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Victor Charreton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Château sur la rivière, which sold at auction in May 2007 for USD 36,000.00 (€ 26,759.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Arbres En Fleur Dans La Prairie von Victor Charreton kam im März 2013 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.753,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Victor Charreton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Château sur la rivière beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für USD 36.000,00 (€ 26.759,83) versteigert wurde.
