This work without title by Verne Dawson was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2009. The result of USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,171.51) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Verne Dawson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Manhattan in November 2003 with an auction result of USD 47,800.00 (€ 39,849.94).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.171,51) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Verne Dawson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Manhattan im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.800,00 (€ 39.849,94).
