Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Four Rectangular Columns, 1980 by Vasa Velizar Mihich was sold in the Contemporary Art & Editions Online auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,040.00 (€ 1,817.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vasa Velizar Mihich - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Four-Column Cluster, which sold at auction in July 2008 for USD 8,750.00 (€ 5,612.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Four Rectangular Columns, 1980 von Vasa Velizar Mihich wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Art & Editions Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.040,00 (€ 1.817,05) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Vasa Velizar Mihich mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Four-Column Cluster beobachtet, die im Juli 2008 für USD 8.750,00 (€ 5.612,93) versteigert wurde.
