Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled, 1966 by Vasa Velizar Mihich was sold in the The Collection of Amalia de Schulthess Online auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,167.50 (€ 1,915.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vasa Velizar Mihich - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Four-Column Cluster, which sold at auction in July 2008 for USD 8,750.00 (€ 5,612.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled, 1966 von Vasa Velizar Mihich wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion The Collection of Amalia de Schulthess Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.167,50 (€ 1.915,09) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Vasa Velizar Mihich mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Four-Column Cluster beobachtet, die im Juli 2008 für USD 8.750,00 (€ 5.612,93) versteigert wurde.
