Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2012 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Photographies, which included the work Sans Titre by Valérie Belin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 8,125.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Valérie Belin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sans Titre 01 10 04 05 (Série Models), 2001 in November 2021 with an auction result of EUR 35,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2012 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Photographies durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titre von Valérie Belin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 8.125,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Valérie Belin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sans Titre 01 10 04 05 (Série Models), 2001 im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 35.000,00.
