The price achieved of USD 10,755.00 (€ 9,866.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 9,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Amerikashu no uchi Washintonfu no kei dohan no utsushi (One of the states in America: Copy of an engraving of Washington, D.C.) is the most expensive artwork by Utagawa Yoshikazu that we have observed at auctions so far.
