Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2003 Christies in London held the auction Japanese Art & Design, which included the work A triptych depicting a lively scene in a bath-house, from the series Imayo Nenju gyoji Fashionable customs of the present day by Utagawa Yoshiiku. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 836.50 (€ 1,202.10). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Utagawa Yoshiiku achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Artisans And Events Of The Twelve Months in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 44,707.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion Japanese Art & Design durch, in der auch die Arbeit A triptych depicting a lively scene in a bath-house, from the series Imayo Nenju gyoji Fashionable customs of the present day von Utagawa Yoshiiku zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 836,50 (€ 1.202,10) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Utagawa Yoshiiku erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Artisans And Events Of The Twelve Months im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 44.707,49).
