The work Unknown by Utagawa Kunimasa was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2003. It achieved a price of USD 5,975.00 (€ 5,481.65), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 49%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Utagawa Kunimasa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Unknown in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 58,100.00 (€ 73,905.74).

Die Arbeit Unknown von Utagawa Kunimasa kam im März 2003 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 5.975,00 (€ 5.481,65) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 49%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Utagawa Kunimasa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Unknown im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 58.100,00 (€ 73.905,74).
