Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2000 Christies in New York held the auction JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART, which included the work Matsumoto Yonesaburo by Utagawa Kunimasa. The »bidding war« ended at USD 35,250.00 (€ 39,889.10), 18% above the upper estimate. Other works by Utagawa Kunimasa have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 58,100.00 (€ 73,905.74) in May 2008 for the work Unknown.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2000 führte Christies in New York die Auktion JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Matsumoto Yonesaburo von Utagawa Kunimasa zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 35.250,00 (€ 39.889,10) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Utagawa Kunimasa haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 58.100,00 (€ 73.905,74) im Mai 2008 für die Arbeit Unknown beobachtet.
