Auction result well in line with expectations
The work MOTORCYCLE by Ushio Shinohara was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 60,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,563.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ushio Shinohara - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work UNTITLED (OIRAN SERIES), which sold at auction in May 2017 for HKD 200,000.00 (€ 22,837.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit MOTORCYCLE von Ushio Shinohara kam im Mai 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.563,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Ushio Shinohara mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit UNTITLED (OIRAN SERIES) beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für HKD 200.000,00 (€ 22.837,31) versteigert wurde.
