Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Alfabeto afono: M by Umberto Mariani was auctioned at Il Ponte in June 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 2,800.00 – 3,400.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 2,700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Umberto Mariani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Forma Celata - 2010 in June 2014 with an auction result of EUR 67,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Alfabeto afono: M von Umberto Mariani im Juni 2015 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.800,00 – 3.400,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 2.700,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Umberto Mariani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Forma Celata - 2010 im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 67.500,00.
