The work Busto della Madre by Umberto Boccioni was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Milan in May 2007. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 52,080.00 49% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Umberto Boccioni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Forme uniche della continuità nello spazio (Unique Forms of Continuity in Space) in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 16,165,000.00 (€ 14,670,115.26).

Die Arbeit Busto della Madre von Umberto Boccioni wurde im Mai 2007 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Mailand versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 52.080,00 und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Umberto Boccioni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Forme uniche della continuità nello spazio (Unique Forms of Continuity in Space) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.165.000,00 (€ 14.670.115,26).
