Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2001 Christies in London held the auction 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART, which included the work The Hole by Ula Paine. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 822.50 (€ 1,343.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Ula Paine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers By The River in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,474.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Hole von Ula Paine zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 822,50 (€ 1.343,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ula Paine auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers By The River im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.474,26).
