Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2001 Christies in London held the auction 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART, which included the work St Luke's Church, Chelsea by Ula Paine. The price achieved of GBP 1,645.00 (€ 2,687.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ula Paine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers By The River in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,474.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit St Luke's Church, Chelsea von Ula Paine zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.645,00 (€ 2.687,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ula Paine auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers By The River im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.474,26).
