Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Swim in the Pool by Ula Paine was sold in the 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART auction at Christies in London in December 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 411.25 (€ 671.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ula Paine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers By The River in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,474.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Swim in the Pool von Ula Paine wurde im Dezember 2001 in der Auktion 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 411,25 (€ 671,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ula Paine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers By The River im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.474,26).
