Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work John Cage by Ugo Mulas for USD 378.00 (€ 309.99). This price was achieved in the auction The Artist’s Eye: The Collection of Tom Levine at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 500.00 – 1,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ugo Mulas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'attesa in November 2008 with an auction result of EUR 16,900.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit John Cage von Ugo Mulas für USD 378,00 (€ 309,99) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Artist’s Eye: The Collection of Tom Levine bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 500,00 – 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ugo Mulas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'attesa im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 16.900,00.
