Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Shan Market by U Lun Gywe was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. It changed hands for a price of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 13,047.92) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by U Lun Gywe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spectrum of Burmese Colour, which sold at auction in November 2019 for HKD 325,000.00 (€ 37,693.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Shan Market von U Lun Gywe kam im November 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 112.500,00 (€ 13.047,92) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von U Lun Gywe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spectrum of Burmese Colour beobachtet, die im November 2019 für HKD 325.000,00 (€ 37.693,98) versteigert wurde.
