The work Nude by U Lun Gywe was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Morning Session) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. It achieved a price of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,736.84), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by U Lun Gywe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spectrum of Burmese Colour, which sold at auction in November 2019 for HKD 325,000.00 (€ 37,693.98).

Die Arbeit Nude von U Lun Gywe wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Morning Session) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.736,84) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Für andere Arbeiten von U Lun Gywe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spectrum of Burmese Colour beobachtet, die im November 2019 für HKD 325.000,00 (€ 37.693,98) versteigert wurde.
