Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2018 Christies in Shanghai held the auction FIRST OPEN | Shanghai, which included the work MERMAIDS by U Lun Gywe. Here, the upper estimate of CNY 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for CNY 90,000.00 (€ 11,275.17). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by U Lun Gywe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spectrum of Burmese Colour, which sold at auction in November 2019 for HKD 325,000.00 (€ 37,693.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2018 führte Christies in Shanghai die Auktion FIRST OPEN | Shanghai durch, in der auch die Arbeit MERMAIDS von U Lun Gywe zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von CNY 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für CNY 90.000,00 (€ 11.275,17) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von U Lun Gywe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spectrum of Burmese Colour beobachtet, die im November 2019 für HKD 325.000,00 (€ 37.693,98) versteigert wurde.
