Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Bathing by the Riverside by U Lun Gywe was auctioned at Bonhams in Hong Kong in April 2020. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 81,875.00 (€ 9,641.15). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by U Lun Gywe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spectrum of Burmese Colour, which sold at auction in November 2019 for HKD 325,000.00 (€ 37,693.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Bathing by the Riverside von U Lun Gywe kam im April 2020 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 81.875,00 (€ 9.641,15) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von U Lun Gywe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spectrum of Burmese Colour beobachtet, die im November 2019 für HKD 325.000,00 (€ 37.693,98) versteigert wurde.
