In the Modern & Contemporary African Art auction, the work The Original (Binary State) sold for USD 68,825.00 (€ 58,734.43) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Toyin Ojih Odutola achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Through Line in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 2,198,000.00 (€ 1,947,373.08).
