In February 2009 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist /Modern Art, which included the work Nature morte aux pêches by Toshio Bando. The result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,948.82) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Toshio Bando - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autoportrait à la cigarette, which sold at auction in June last year for EUR 11,340.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Februar 2009 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist /Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nature morte aux pêches von Toshio Bando zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.948,82) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Toshio Bando mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autoportrait à la cigarette beobachtet, die im Juni letzten Jahres für EUR 11.340,00 versteigert wurde.
