The work Femme nue assise by Toshio Bando was sold in the IMPRESSIONIST AND MODERN ART auction at Christies in New York in February 2004. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,950.00 (€ 9,605.34), 71% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Toshio Bando; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Autoportrait à la cigarette sold at auction in June last year with the realized price of EUR 11,340.00.

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.950,00 (€ 9.605,34) und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Toshio Bando; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Autoportrait à la cigarette im Juni letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 11.340,00.
