Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Yuki (Snow) by Torii Kotondo was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2020. The price achieved of USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,600.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Torii Kotondo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kamisuki (Combing the hair) in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 72,500.00 (€ 64,570.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Yuki (Snow) von Torii Kotondo kam im September 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.600,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Torii Kotondo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kamisuki (Combing the hair) im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.500,00 (€ 64.570,72).
