Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art, which included the work Kamisuki (Combing Hair) by Torii Kotondo. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,767.61). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Torii Kotondo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kamisuki (Combing the hair) in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 72,500.00 (€ 64,570.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Japanese and Korean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kamisuki (Combing Hair) von Torii Kotondo zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.767,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Torii Kotondo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kamisuki (Combing the hair) im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.500,00 (€ 64.570,72).
