Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work a. Dancers; b. Drawing study: The Dancers; c. Drawing study: Woman and Dog by Tony Wong was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in December 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 7,560.00 (€ 856.33). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tony Wong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chameleon in November 2007 with an auction result of HKD 463,500.00 (€ 40,518.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit a. Dancers; b. Drawing study: The Dancers; c.
