Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Art Online: From Le Pho to Sanyu, which included the work Fear by Tony Wong. It changed hands for a price of HKD 27,720.00 (€ 3,139.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tony Wong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chameleon in November 2007 with an auction result of HKD 463,500.00 (€ 40,518.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Art Online: From Le Pho to Sanyu durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fear von Tony Wong zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 27.720,00 (€ 3.139,87) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tony Wong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chameleon im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 463.500,00 (€ 40.518,38).
