Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untilted by Tony Oursler was auctioned at Sothebys in Cologne in November 2021. The price achieved of EUR 1,764.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tony Oursler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Passage in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 173,000.00 (€ 126,832.84).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.764,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tony Oursler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Passage im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 173.000,00 (€ 126.832,84).
