Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tony Cragg could be acquired at Christies in London in October this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Stack changed hands for GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,468.30) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tony Cragg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Constant Change in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 849,062.00 (€ 984,851.03).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tony Cragg konnte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Stack für GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.468,30) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tony Cragg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Constant Change im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 849.062,00 (€ 984.851,03).
