This artwork by Tomás Hiepes achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2003. In the Old Master Pictures auction, the work Myrtle in a lobed-footed polychrome maiolica Manises vase on a draped ledge sold for GBP 363,650.00 (€ 515,062.58) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 200,000.00.
