Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Old Masters Part II, which included the work Grapes, Peaches And A Snail In A Chinese Porcelain Bowl Atop A Gilt And Inlaid Cabinet by Tomás Hiepes. The price achieved of USD 93,750.00 (€ 77,646.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tomás Hiepes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Myrtle in a lobed-footed polychrome maiolica Manises vase on a draped ledge in December 2003 with an auction result of GBP 363,650.00 (€ 515,062.58).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 77.646,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden.
