Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sketch of Dancers; And Another Similar Work by Tom Merrifield was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2005. The price achieved of GBP 84.00 (€ 122.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40.00 – 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom Merrifield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dancing Nude in March 2003 with an auction result of GBP 2,585.00 (€ 3,744.69).
