Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Go Go Dancer by Tom Merrifield was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in March 2006. The price achieved of GBP 720.00 (€ 1,031.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tom Merrifield - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dancing Nude, which sold at auction in March 2003 for GBP 2,585.00 (€ 3,744.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Go Go Dancer von Tom Merrifield wurde im März 2006 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 720,00 (€ 1.031,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Tom Merrifield mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dancing Nude beobachtet, die im März 2003 für GBP 2.585,00 (€ 3.744,69) versteigert wurde.
